The workaround for the server (if you can't update) is adding a "Ciphers" line to /etc/ssh/sshd_config with the defaults (see man page) and omit. Here you can see that the server was able to agree with the diffie-helman-group1 -sha1 algorithm with WS_FTP's hmac -sha1, however. these embedded clients are compatible with the LSUHSC SFTP solution. Older clients may try to connect with DH-Group1-SHA1, but this will not work. 2002 THUNDERBIRD FOR SALE Режим спектр в как не покидая. Режим спектр в пн покидая. And I think it should work too, since it worked with filezilla.
It is a Key with putty format created by the server I'm trying to connect — Fahed. Do you know the password to the private key? I saw from your output, there wasn't anything about you attempting to enter a password like from the first post. Yes, I created the password and pasted and also typed in both filezilla and SSH. And the last line of the output is the password prompt where I'm not allowed to continue.
Why or how are you not allowed to continue? Just an fyi, when you type in the password on the console for ssh, it doesn't show any kind of feedback because it's being masked for security purposes, but it is being entered. Hi, I know passwords are many times hidden, that is not the problem in this case. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:. Can you show your server config object especially any custom algorithms being set?
Sorry, something went wrong. Thanks for the kind pointers. That makes sense. It seems then, that I just need to take the default ciphers that your module sends, but configure it to omit the one that the newest Filezilla clients don't like to see? I honestly don't have anything special in the server config section. I think this is what you are referring to:. Also: It seems I am using an older version of your module, which has a different server config I specify the privateKey directly.
I am not sure how the older version handles ciphers. I am using 0. I will try upgrading to 0. EDIT: I have upgraded ssh2 to 0. This now works with the latest Filezilla. It seems, from my rudimentary understanding, that Filezilla doesn't like any of the ciphers with the ' ' sign - but wouldn't your algorithm find none of the ' ' ciphers given to your module from Filezilla client, and then omit the ' ' sign ciphers from the list?
I am not sure if my understanding is correct at all -- apologies if I have misinterpreted anything. My understanding of the issue was like I said before, especially given the simple patch that was recommended by someone in the FileZilla issue. I did not actually try to dive into the FileZilla code to find out what exactly changed. If it is in fact that they do not support the ' ' character in cipher names, that's pretty broken on FileZilla's part.
The ssh2 spec even encourages using ' ' to allow implementation-specific ciphers, hashes, etc. Thanks for the kind reply. What was also confusing me was that my ssh version 6. My understanding is that older versions of SSH did not actually support the couple of ciphers with ' ' inside, but still sent it as a supported cipher.
Based on the Filezilla thread comments, a newer version of SSH such as mine should be able to work without hacks to disable the ' ' ciphers, but the bug still persists. Anyways, thanks again for the excellent project - with such things as custom ciphers list. FWIW I just tried this with node v8. Thanks for the update. I'm trying with node 8. I'm not using OpenSSH. It's only the setup I mentioned.
FileZilla is the client and ssh2 is the server. My bad. Right, ssh2 uses its own ssh implementation, so it's completely separate from OpenSSH, libssh2, etc. I'm using the default build config I compile from source , which links with the the bundled OpenSSL statically.
Interesting, thanks for the update. I'm actually running from Docker Node base image, so I simply tried using building my dockerfile from the 8. I'm not a docker user, but I would guess as long as they are the official docker images it should be the same build configuration. To clarify, what exactly is happening when you try to connect with FileZilla what error messages, etc.
